The annual Celebrate America event will be held at Cripple Creek Park in Lincoln on July 4th, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m..
Click here for the schedule of events for the celebration. This is a family event with a parade to kick it off, a patriotic program and music, as well as games and lunch. Members of our military are always honored.
The speaker this year is Col. John Eidsmoe, whose career includes many years as a professor of Constitutional law at several universities; a long career as a Constitutional attorney, including as Senior Staff Attorney on the Alabama Supreme Court; and a theological degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, among others. Col. Eidsmoe has written many books and enjoys an illustrious reputation as an expert on Constitutional law, which I personally have benefitted from in a seminar he conducted and which was distributed on DVD. I think you would find him edifying and instructive, as well as refreshing.
