Posted 8/28/17

In recognition of National Forensic Science Week, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office will be giving tours of their laboratory and equipment which are used in forensic investigations.  Tours are open to the General Public on a first come first serve basis on Tuesday, Sept 19 at 9am/10am/11am/1pm/2pm.  Thursday, Sept 21 is set aside for school groups but it has already filled up so they are offering another date on Wednesday, October 18.  Two of those times have already filled up.  I went ahead and made reservations as a school group for the 1pm tour and told her I would find more people to join me.  This is geared toward middle school and upPlease let me know ASAP if you would like to join us.  Each individual tour group is 10-15 individuals with a maximum capacity for each tour hour at 60 individuals.  I just reserved for one individual tour (10-15 people) but told her I would let her know if I got enough interest to form more groups.  Douglas County Crime Lab is located at 15345 W Maple Road.  It is behind the building visible on the corner of 156th & Maple.  Going North on 156th towards Maple, you actually turn right before you get to Maple.
