Recapping Nebraska Homeschool 2016 Summer Conference

Nebraska Homeschool was blessed to have Dr. Jay L. Wile as our keynote speaker this year.  Dr. Wile not only shared his wisdom on Teaching Science at Home, but he also offered two very encouraging presentations, Teaching Critical Thinking and 10 Tips to Improve Homeschool Year.   Veteran homeschoolers (and even my own teens) were encouraged by his comments and eager to implement some of his ideas.  Members who missed his talks can access Dr. Wile’s handouts through the 2016 Conference page on our website.

In addition to these presentations, our other speakers gave presentations for practical use in our homeschooling and messages of encouragement for family and marriage.  We were also happy to bring an Exhibit Hall full with 40 exhibitors.  It is always our pleasure to feature several of the homeschool clubs and activities in our area.

This year we mailed a post-conference survey to attendees, speakers, and exhibitors.  We hope their feedback will assist us in planning the 2017 conference.  We also invite all members to provide input to NH-HEN as to what they would like to receive at future conferences.   Please email your input to [email protected].
